Traditional solid wood extendable tables often appear cumbersome with thick edges of 110mm or more to hide sliding mechanisms. Determined to redefine this standard, we set out to craft a table with a thinner table edge, through a collaboration with a German manufacturer, we developed custom sliding system to reduce the table edge thickness drastically.

This sleek design not only enhances the table’s aesthetic but also offers versatile seating arrangements, allowing you to relax with crossed legs or sit comfortably side-by-side with loved ones without the risk of bumping into one another. The ultra-thin table edge has been particularly praised by families with children, accommodating various armchair styles and high chairs, reflecting our focus on both practicality and style.

Through market research within our client base, we discovered a preference for rounded-edge tables, driven by safety concerns for families with children or the elderly. Embracing this insight, we pushed the boundaries of design to create a table featuring a seamless 270° round design, achieved through advanced 5-axis CNC technology. This meticulous approach extends from the corners, table edge to the joints and legs of the table, resulting in a design that exudes both lightness, tenderness and elegance. This design prioritizes safety and practicality, making it exceptionally friendly for homes with children and elderly family members.

Perfectly Suited for Modern Living

Understanding the distinct dining culture and family living habits in Asia, we recognized that directly applying Danish design and manufacturing principles to The Extentable Collection would not fully meet local needs. Traditional western dining practices, with their simpler and less oily ingredients, do not require the frequent cleaning needed for the more complex and oil-rich Asian cuisine. In response, we tailored the Extentable Collection to align with European standards by using a premium, exclusively formulated matte, water-based coating that closely maintain the natural appearance of wood. This innovative approach maintains the tactile authenticity of natural wood while offering superior protection against stains, water, and heat. Our exclusive coating also meets the rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards expected in Asian households, especially in the post-pandemic era.

Additionally, by applying advanced furniture-making technology to modify the wooden structure, we have ensured that our Extentable Collection is less affected by humidity and climatic changes, making it suitable for a global market.
